JENNY MALLARD
SINGER & SONGWRITER
Jenny Mallard always wanted a man to write her a love song. But instead of waiting around for that to happen - she released an album herself. Newfoundland artist Jenny Mallard is a celebrated musician and storyteller who is known for her authentic lyrics and impactful storytelling. Jenny took Newfoundland and Labrador by storm after the release of her debut album, "Into The Deep'' in November 2022. With nominations of Pop artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Rising Star of the year at the 2023 Music NL Awards, along with a stunning performance at the Music NL Awards show, Jenny’s great successes from her album have launched her career forth into the deep music world as a recording artist. Jenny’s first East coast music award was in 2015 when she was just 18 years old. Since then, she has been working hard in both her professional music career and Professional business career - and has had numerous and steadily growing career accolades since. She has been creating artist works & projects to benefit herself and the world around her. Jenny graduated from a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2020 - 2 months after covid struck her hometown in Newfoundland. After graduating in the top 10 percent of her business class, Jenny was invited to play her song “Launch Forth” at the business school's graduation to inspire hope in the new graduates, and was then invited to speak as the keynote for the university-wide online Covid Graduation ceremony. She delivered a speech on strength, hope and resilience. On top of completing her studies, she spent 3 years as a touring/side artist with Music NL and ECMA nominated band “Rod Jackson & the Perfect Strangers” from 2018-2021. She toured across the province 4 times, 3 with Rod Jackson, and once with a group called the “Due South Opry”(2021) which consisted of talented front women in the country music industry in NL. She then opened for the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra's "Women in Country" Wildflowers Concert at Jack Byrne Arena. Her album release show was sold out 1 week prior to the album release, and multiple singles released off the album have grabbing the attention of Canadian Publicity entities & and HOT AC commercial radio stations across the nation. The album has been extremely successful and spiked hundreds of radio spins and dozens of PR opportunities across Canada. Jenny is gearing up to play two showcases at the East Coast Music Awards in May of 2024 and is expected to release her sophmore album in 2025.
